What is TRevPAR?
Total Revenue Per Available Room (TRevPAR) is like RevPAR but counts every dollar a guest spends, not just the room. It includes food and beverage, spa, parking, events, and any other ancillary revenue, divided by available rooms.
How to calculate TRevPAR
TRevPAR = Total Revenue / Total Available Rooms.
Example: $40,000 in total revenue across 200 available room-nights gives $40,000 / 200 = $200.00.
Why TRevPAR matters
- It shows the full earning power of each room, including everything beyond the rate.
- It highlights how much ancillary spend you capture per guest.
- For resorts and full-service hotels it is often more meaningful than RevPAR alone.
How to improve TRevPAR
- Drive on-property spend with curated upsells, packages, and experiences.
- Make it effortless to charge F&B, spa, and minibar to the room folio.
- Use guest data to personalize offers before and during the stay.
